Reports to:

Assistant CS Manager(s) and CS Manager

On-site at our Golden CO headquarters

COVID-19 Vaccinations: Powder7 requires all employees to demonstrate proof of receiving a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of their employment.

Role Overview:

In this role you will be the first line of support for all customer interactions at Powder7. You will work in-store appointments, answer phone calls on the first ring, and respond to emails in a timely manner. Customer Service Associates are ski gear experts and can provide customers with the best equipment recommendations to match their ability, preferences, and budget. You should have excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to act positively and professionally with customers and coworkers—even when things get hectic. Powder7 is built on providing an excellent shopping experience, and our customer service associates keep that mojo alive.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and sell gear, adjust orders, and solve customer issues via all three facets of customer service interactions:
    • In Store
    • Phone
    • Email
  • Assess and check-in customer's equipment for appropriate services for our team of ski techs (tunes, mounts, repairs, etc.)
  • Perform binding adjustments for customers on skis with all bindings in store
  • Assist customers with order pickups, including having customers sign out all service tickets upon pickup.
  • Process returns, refunds, and order cancellations.
  • Edit customer orders before fulfillment, and communicate interdepartmentally to make appropriate adjustments. Including:
    • Documenting customer requests/interactions in backend order notes system using clear and concise rhetoric
    • Physically communicating with members of other departments with customer requests/order adjustments that directly affect those departments
  • Assist the shipping team with basic tasks (box making, order picking) on busy shipping days.
  • Assist in cleaning the storefront and putting up all gear on the storefront floor continuously throughout the day, and potentially re-stocking inventory in the store.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Customer Service office and workspaces. Including: taking out trash/recycling, cleaning/maintaining kitchen and coffee machines, and restocking merchandise left around workspaces.
  • Stay up to date on current product offerings at Powder7 and new or incoming gear
  • Move, organize, and clean/de-sticker tuned demos for the trained listers.
  • Other tasks as assigned by managers and supervisors.

When you'll do it:

Starting in August/September and working until March 31, 2023. In March, staffing levels are evaluated and considerations about the next year are made. There may be an opportunity to stay on as a year round employee of the shop based on performance, work ethic, and the needs of the shop.

Peak season schedule (September - March) consists of 4 x 10hr shifts (8AM-6PM) with 2 consecutive days off. Off-season schedule (April - September) consists of 4 x 8hr shifts (8AM-4PM). During both seasons you will be scheduled on at least one weekend day, which in ski shop speak means two weekdays off (read: no lines, no crowds, no I-70 traffic). You must be available to work through the holiday season. Retail, baby.

What's in it for you?

  • Health insurance.
  • Product testing.
  • Professional level coffee/espresso machine.
  • Discounts on gear.
  • Access to industry perks.
  • Company outings and events.
  • Ski pass reimbursements.
  • Lots of free lunches.
  • A kitchen full of snacks
  • Delivering stoke to our customers two skis at a time.

So, you in?

  • 1. Complete the Job Application here.
  • 2. Email your resume to us at

That's it. We don't accept phone calls, in-person applications, or incomplete applications. Position stays posted until filled.
