Seasonal Customer Service Associate

Role Overview:
In this role you will be the first line of support for all customer interactions at Powder7. You will work in-store appointments, answer phone calls on the first ring, and respond to emails in a timely manner. Customer Service Associates are ski gear experts and can provide customers with the best equipment recommendations to match their ability, preferences, and budget. You should have excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to act positively and professionally with customers and coworkers—even when things get hectic. Powder7 is built on providing an excellent shopping experience, and our customer service associates keep that mojo alive.
Role Responsibilities:
Recommend and sell gear, adjust orders, and solve customer issues via all three facets of customer service interactions:
In Store
Phone
Email
Assess and check-in customer's equipment for appropriate services for our team of ski techs (tunes, mounts, repairs, etc.)
Perform binding adjustments for customers as needed.
Assist customers with order pickups, including having customers sign out all service tickets upon pickup.
Process returns, refunds, and order cancellations.
Edit customer orders before fulfillment, and communicate interdepartmentally to make appropriate adjustments. Including:
Documenting customer requests/interactions in CRM using clear and concise rhetoric
Physically communicating with members of other departments with customer requests/order adjustments that directly affect those departments
Assist the shipping team with basic tasks (box making, order picking) on busy shipping days.
Assist in cleaning the storefront and putting up all gear on the storefront floor continuously throughout the day, and potentially re-stocking inventory in the store.
Maintain cleanliness of Customer Service office and workspaces. Including: taking out trash/recycling, cleaning/maintaining kitchen and coffee machines, and restocking merchandise left around workspaces.
Stay up to date on current product offerings at Powder7 and new or incoming gear.
Move, organize, and clean/de-sticker tuned demos for the listing staff.
Other tasks as assigned by managers and supervisors.
When you'll do it:
Starting in August/September timeframe and working until March 31, 2024.
Peak season schedule (September - March) consists of 4 x 10 hr shifts. If hired, you will be scheduled on to work one weekend day, which in ski shop speak means at least two weekdays off (read: no lines, no crowds, no I-70 traffic. You must be available to work through the holiday season. Retail, baby.
