 One of the busiest and best bicycle and ski retailers is looking for an exceptional and dependable Service Department Manager to join our amazing family.

We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and awesome individual to join our management team! Being an employee at Pine Mountain Sports has one requirement...you need to strive to "make the day" of every single guest that walks in our door! You need to have a full skill set and solid history in bike builds, repair, suspension, and service. You’ll need to be motivated, supportive, and extremely detail oriented - and work well with and co-lead a team of friendly and experienced bike/ski techs. Everything you do and how you present yourself should exceed our, and our guests, expectations. 

 

Position: Service Department Manager

Employment Type: Full-time, Year-round

 

Qualifications:

• A strong bike building, repair, suspension, and service writing background required, minimum of 3-5 years.
• Minimum of 2 years in a management position.
• Ski tech experience is a plus, however not required. We will train the right person.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor H1-B visas.
• Minimum of High School Diploma, Associate degree or above preferred. 
• This job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time. 
• Full-time is 32-40 hours per week, a varied schedule includes weekends/holidays (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas). 

Summary of Duties:

• Works closely with the other Service Department Manager, while staying in continuous communication with the entire management team.
• Supporting and leading the Service team through coaching, mentoring, and fostering a spirit of teamwork, trust, and accountability.
• Assess and repair bikes/skis confidently and efficiently.  
• Complete all repairs within a timely manner.
• Ability and willingness to fill in for other Service roles as needed. Service Writing will be required for this role.   
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Maintain a safe work environment while enforcing and adhering to all safety regulations within the Service Department.
• Provide input on/help establish store policies and procedures. We take COVID-19 protocols very seriously in our shop and expect our management team to enforce these.
• Ability to partake in regularly scheduled managers/staff/service meetings and events.
• Ability to/willingness to learn ski service/waxing/repair.
• Support other departments during periods of unbalanced staffing.
