Summary: 

Revved Industries, the manufacturing technology company behind Guerrilla Gravity, is the bike industry’s newest and most advanced carbon fiber operation. The company is driven to make simpler, less impactful, and more ecologically responsible manufacturing processes and product designs. The Design Engineer must have a high level of mechanical aptitude to work with our engineering team to expand manufacturing capabilities and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will be proficient in identifying solutions to difficult problems in a new and fast-growing sector of the composites industry and have a passion for manufacturing, efficiency, and automation.


Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering school

  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, product development, go-to-production, machine design, automation, hydraulics, R&D, and/or testing 

  • Experience or thorough understanding of CNC machining, CAM programming, and DFM (design for manufacturing)

  • High-level proficiency using at least one commercial CAD system ; Revved uses Autodesk Fusion 360 with legacy designs in Solidworks

  • In-depth knowledge of mountain bikes a plus

  • Composite design and manufacturing experience a plus


Responsibilities:

  • Read and create accurate engineering drawings with basic GD&T understanding

  • Create all designs focused fabrication including speed of construction, cost, ease of producing required tolerances

  • Own machine design and process improvement projects involving project management, CAD design, outsourcing of component fabrication, in house fabrication, welding, manual and CNC machining, assembly, and electrical work

  • Hands-on work in fabrication, assembly, disassembly, and implementation 

  • Track and complete all design projects by due dates

  • Continually improve manufacturing processes towards Six Sigma quality 

Requirements

  • A passion for engineering and solving difficult challenges

  • Ability to problem solve and work independently with excellent time management skills. 

  • Comfortable learning new software quickly 

  • Comfortable operating in an intense, fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional results

  • Has good instincts--when you suggest approaches that nobody on the team has thought of, it immediately strikes everyone as obvious

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to clearly and accurately explain technical issues.

  • Attention to detail in everything you do with an obsession for quality, organization, and efficiency

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
