Job Description & Requirements


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing manager is the leader responsible for brand and marketing strategy. Including developing, overseeing, evaluating, and executing marketing strategies to build awareness and position of the company. This position not only manages but also rolls up their sleeves and contributes to the overall success of projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Marketing

  • Develop and execute overall marketing and brand strategies to drive sales growth opportunities.
  • Integrate and align brand/company strategy in all marketing efforts.
  • Research, identify marketing trends and assimilate strategies into the marketing plan.
  • Provide creative direction and oversight of visual and audio.
  • Provide creative direction and execute written communication and messaging assets.
  • Oversee PR, partnerships, collaboration, and influencer opportunities.
  • Manage internal Press requests.
  • Collaborate with Sales on B2B and B2C sales objectives.
  • Create and manage yearly marketing calendar and promotions.

Website

  • Manage ongoing website design, user experience, development, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with developers and manage website projects to improve website performance.
  • Own and drive the front-end user experience (UX).
  • Own and manage multiple B2C websites, B2B websites, and marketplaces. Including Amazon.
  • Manage and execute Vender Central (Amazon) Brand pages.
  • Manage meaningful and consistent message throughout all marketplaces.
  • Develop a compelling, unified, end-to-end consumer experience which enhances the brand, increases awareness, engages new, and existing consumers.
  • Manage and execute brand(s) product listings on all platforms.

Digital marketing

  • Define and manage the brand strategy using a variety of media and content.
  • Provide direction and oversight to the team to improve quality and traffic acquisition.
  • Manage Email campaigns for B2C.
  • Identify research needs, execute research studies and projects, and analyze research in order to identify opportunities.
  • Stay current on market trends and competitive activity.
  • Manage and support marketing automation, omni channel, and CRM tools.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results.
  • Manage execution of activities within the marketing department that include but are not limited to content creation, email, print or digital ads, collateral, sales tools, blogs, web pages, direct mail, social media posting, and customer surveys.
  • Support to customer service.

Brand

  • Design a research-brand strategy.
  • Own the messaging and storytelling of the brand narrative.
  • Create, execute, and manage marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Manage all digital asset requests both internally and externally.
  • Ensure branding and brand message is consistent across all platforms.

Content

  • Manage and maintain GSI Outdoors’ Digital Asset Library and database.
  • Manage and maintain GSI Outdoors’ internal website product database.
  • Write product copy.

Video

  • Identify and execute video assets to help identify brand and support sales.
  • Manage a videographer on video projects.
  • Manage photo/video shoots, logistics, and budget.

Other

  • Other responsibilities as requested
  • Collaborate and manage corporate and volunteer events
  • Assist tradeshows
  • Assist with the Sustainability Project

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 5+ years’ experience in managing digital marketing, ecommerce, brand, content, social media, marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Excellent understanding of web design and web analysis
  • Understanding of UX
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEM Rush, etc.)
  • Experienced with Vendor Central, Magento, and Shopify E-Commerce platforms
  • Experienced with Klaviyo and best email practices
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, including; Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google, and more
  • Experience in meta data, keywords, tagging standards, and SEO
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Lightroom, InDesign)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external teams
  • Experience managing and working closely with multiple support agency teams

GSI Outdoors is seeking a Lead Graphic Designer. The person in this role will work on a diverse range of projects in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment.
