JOB TITLE: Marketing Director
Classification: Exempt

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and implementing Escape Climbing’s brand strategy in order to hit sales goals and grow Escape into a climbing lifestyle brand.
The Marketing Director must be able to work with a small team, leverage talents and resources to grow the team and company very aggressively over the next 5 years (40-50% YoY growth).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and execute marketing strategies to hit sales goals
Find and develop overall marketing and brand strategies to grow sales and brand awareness while meeting pre determined TACOS.
Maximizing education and advertising campaigns across Amazon, Google, Etsy, Shopify, Social Media, Influencer, Distributor, Retailer, and other programs
Research, identify marketing trends and assimilate strategies into the marketing plan.
Provide creative direction and execute written communication, messaging and copywriting assets.
Take lead on all copywriting
Work with the marketing team, either collaboratively or independently, to conceptualize, test, and pitch visual content projects that further the education and engagement goals.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects within scope, shoot windows, and budget restrictions, while looking for value-added opportunities and efficiencies.
Stay up to date on industry trends, methods and techniques
Part of the leadership team and will embody and help to drive our company culture

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years’ experience managing digital marketing, ecommerce, marketing or related field
Proven track record of growing sales in a brand with consistent double digit YoY growth.
Deep understanding of the Climbing and or the Outdoor Industry
Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Strong copywriting abilities
Solid knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEM Rush, etc.)
Proficient in Asana, G-Suite, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevent marketing software.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
5+ years’ experience managing digital marketing, ecommerce, marketing or related field
