Product Manager – Kryptonite, Bicycle Locks (Canton, Boston, Massachusetts)
The Product Manager Locks is responsible for owning and driving results for the categories; U- Locks, Chains and Powersport locks Ensuring a profitable and growing product portfolio. This position is responsible for product strategy, product planning, product line positioning, and product life cycle management for the assigned portfolio across all markets in all regions.
What You Will Do:
Own Product Categories Strategy & Life Cycle Management
Manages product details, specifications, competitive knowledge, market knowledge and product utilization (cradle to grave) within various geographies across the globe, with a focus on the US and European markets (Kryptonite, AXA & Trelock brands).
Responsible for meeting set profit targets for area of responsibility.
Responsible for the execution of strategy for locks product in the European and US markets.
Leads multi-location, cross functional teams to launch new products using a structured development process.
Market knowledge and support
Identify market opportunities and trends and transform these into launch of new products for your categories
Contributes to sales and marketing activities by assessing market data and conducting competitive analysis for locks product.
Understand the needs of our channel partners and customers; Customer Intimacy
Advises and provides input on specific local markets, products, trends, competition, and opportunities.
Work closely with Brand Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure their brands needs are understood and represented in the global portfolio strategy
Leadership and Engagement
Member of the Global Locks portfolio team
Acts as project leader with internal groups such as engineering, brand management, marketing, production, sales, and leadership on operational and strategic initiatives.
Works cross-functionally to create business cases including sales projections, pricing forecasts, and market figures.
Local support for the Kryptonite team in the US and the other product managers within the Portfolio team, in numerous of product management tasks
Ability to manage priorities; good time-management skills.
What You Need to Succeed:
2-3 years of experience in field of Product management, Marketing or a similar role is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree is minimum required
Bicycle industry or specialty retail market knowledge is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action
Ability to problem solve with entrepreneurial commitment to achieving goals
Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to execute on business plans
Proven collaborator with both customer and internal cross functional teams
Understanding the positioning of the individual brands in the different markets
Strong Communication skills and function as the pivot between the development and commercial departments
This position will require 33% travel, both domestically and internationally
Hybrid role: includes office time in Canton, MA and work from home available
