Field Service Manager
The Field Service Manager with Sierra Outdoor Collective is responsible for retail employee education, merchandising, and sales support. The job responsibilities are, but not limited to merchandising, in-store marketing activation, attending consumer events and retail staff training. A background in outdoor retail, sales, buying, or management is required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, communication, presentation skills, and be able to communicate and interact with retail employees, vendors, and consumers. Participation and knowledge of outdoor activities is required e.g., climbing, bouldering, backpacking, skiing, and hiking.
Responsibilities Include
- Develop, schedule, and execute in-store and virtual training seminars with retail employees
- Visit all accounts between 4-8 times each year
- Submit feedback forms to the agency and vendors in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail employees
- Submit quarterly service recaps to the agency and vendor partners
- Attend regional trade shows, national trade shows and national sales meetings
- Support retailers and vendors at consumer events
Qualifications
- Experience in outdoor retail sales, management or buying
- Ability to interact with employees in all retail channels.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of social media platforms are needed
- Must be able and willing to travel extensively
- Must be willing to work with a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and mornings
- Must be self-motivated and able to collaborate and work with a team
- Must be located in Southern California
