Job Description & Requirements

TITLE:                          Office Manager, Customer Service

REPORTS TO:             Director of Sales and Marketing - SMC

BASED AT:                  SMC, Ferndale, WA, USA

STATUS:                      1^st shift, Non-Exempt, Full-Time

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As the main point of contact for SMC, answer phones and respond to customer emails

• Manage and process customer orders, in a timely manner, including but not limited to: scheduling ship dates, consolidating orders and confirming payment methods. Work with Material Control to assess order needs and viability
• Provide sales quotes, order confirmations, lead times, product issues, shipping delays or backorder information to customers
• Respond to customer inquiries and feedback regarding products, services, delivery dates and pricing, forward questions to a relevant team member as necessary.
• Regularly managing release of orders and working with production on product needs and availability movement·        
• Other duties as assigned 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. An associate’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience as an office administrator preferred.
• Manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining superior attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines and goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles or time constraints
• Ability to use standard office equipment
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher
