Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Independent Sales Representative to represent our Boulder Gear and Rawik brands in the New England Territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of complementary lines and established business relationships with key regional winter sports retailers. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional with a passion for outdoor gear and a deep understanding of the retail landscape in New England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development: Drive sales growth for Boulder Gear and Rawik products within the New England territory by establishing and nurturing relationships with key retailers, including specialty shops, sporting goods stores, and major retail chains.
- Account Management: Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Product Knowledge & Training: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Boulder Gear and Rawik products. Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and clinics to educate retail staff and ensure they are equipped to sell our products effectively.
- Market Analysis & Strategy: Analyze market trends, competition, and consumer behavior within the territory. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize market share and achieve sales targets.
- Reporting & Communication: Regularly report on sales performance, market feedback, and customer needs. Collaborate closely with the internal sales and marketing departments to align strategies and share insights.
- Trade Shows & Events: Represent Boulder Gear and Rawik at industry trade shows, events, and sales meetings. Build brand awareness and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an independent sales representative in the outdoor, apparel, or sporting goods industry, with a proven track record of success in the New England territory.
- Portfolio: You must carry complementary lines that align with Boulder Gear and Rawik products, providing added value to your retailer base.
- Relationships: Established business relationships with key retailers in New England, including snow/outdoor specialty stores, sporting goods retailers, and department stores.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical outerwear and apparel, with a passion for snow sports activities and lifestyle.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present products and ideas effectively to various audiences.
- Self-Motivation: Highly motivated, self-driven, and capable of working independently to achieve sales goals.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the New England territory to meet with accounts and attend national industry events and annual national sales meetings.
