Job Description & Requirements

The Town of Frisco is looking for an enthusiastic, thoughtful communicator with a passion for making local government more accessible and transparent. This is a great position for someone who loves variety in their day, can work well independently and collaboratively, and values ongoing learning opportunities.

This year-round/full-time salaried (exempt) position performs a variety of professional, technical, and analytical work to assist in designing, producing, and maintaining external and internal communications materials. This includes monitoring and updating content on three websites, managing social media, and acting as a backup public information officer (PIO). This position is heavy on copywriting and editing, but will also be responsible for developing and executing communications strategies, attending Town Council meetings, and providing operational support of Town events. 

The ideal candidate will have:

-         - A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field

-         - Intermediate/advanced computer proficiency including Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Microsoft Office

-          -A minimum of a combined three (3) years' experience in public relations, journalism, or a similar field.

-         - Strong verbal and written communication skills (in English)

-         - Fluency in Spanish is preferred and is compensated based on proficiency measurement from the American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages structure

-          -Basic PIO training -to be completed in the first year in the position

-          -Valid Colorado driver’s license

The Town of Frisco offers competitive pay with a hiring range of $55,555.52 – $68,222.17, and a full wage range of $55,555.52 – $80,888.83 for this position.
