Job Description & Requirements


VanEssential is looking for a responsible team member to lead our customer service in our Broomfield CO location. We are a growing company in the van conversion industry that manufactures and distributes high-quality window covers, bug screens, storage solutions, and other van accessories directly to consumers and throughout our van-building wholesale network worldwide. The primary responsibility is to handle all email and phone inquiries. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be ready to roll up their sleeves when work is needed, and be able to ensure our customers are given the best support possible. 



  • Answer all phone calls and assist/diagnose customers with their purchase or compatibility questions.

  • Answer all email inquiries daily. We have a daily inbox zero target.

  • Learn about the products inside and out to be able to answer any questions from customers.

  • Identify customer needs or desires to recommend the appropriate product. 

  • Process orders and customer payments when required. 

  • Process refunds following company policy, systems, and procedures.

  • Help maintain and build file organization systems inside the company.

  • Assist in building and curating an FAQ page.  

  • Quickly relay product flaws to the design team 

  • Order and maintain all office supplies as needed.

  • Provide general support to visitors, customers, team members, and any other general customer service needs that come up during the day.

  • Support order updates and communicate with other departments regarding needed changes. 

  • Help open and close the building daily and make sure it is secure.

  • Attend weekend trade shows and educate customers about products.



  • Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Patience when dealing with customers.

  • Strong computer literacy with Apple products (we don’t use PCs). 

  • Knowledge of Ship Station, Wix, Google apps, and Microsoft Office. Amazon Seller Central is a plus.

  • Be dependable with excellent time management and the ability to prioritize work with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Being able to work independently without supervision will be important. 

  • Have, or quickly develop, comprehensive knowledge of our product and the van industry. Being into the outdoors/living out of vans or having completed your van conversion is very helpful.

  • Be a driven and independent thinker with an attention to detail and work well with others with a positive and open mind. 

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Have a dedicated focus on the customer experience through phone and email communication and complete the product life cycle of an e-commerce company. 



Our company operates from 9-3 M- F and can be flexible based on seasonality. We love getting outdoors and not being at the office if we don’t have to. We do trade events around the country (only fun ones) and some travel will be made available should you be interested and will be encouraged.
