Interns will work alongside the US Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management in various locations across Colorado and southern Wyoming. Our participants will gain experience, make connections, and serve public lands.
Start dates vary by position but are generally between April and June! Details can be found on our website.
Current USFS positions include:
- Recreation interns in Eagle, Rifle, Carbondale, Steamboat Springs, Walden, and Yampa, CO and Douglas, Laramie, and Saratoga, WY
- Veterans Wildland Fire/Fuels interns in Yampa and Walden, CO
- Trails and Wilderness interns in Rifle, Aspen, Carbondale, Silverthorne, Yampa, and Steamboat Springs, CO and Laramie, WY
- Wildland Fire interns in Yampa, Steamboat Springs, and Walden, CO
- OHV interns in Meeker, CO
- Timber and Silviculture interns in Steamboat Springs and Walden, CO and Laramie and Saratoga, WY
- Range interns in Walden and Steamboat Springs, CO

NATURAL RESOURCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 16-30
Internships are designed to engage youth and young adults in valuable work experiences within natural resources management agencies and non-profits. Internships allow participants to consider or advance careers and education in natural resources. RMYC provides support to all internships while the intern works under the daily supervision of the hosting public lands management agency, or non-profit.
